Gene Wiggins photograph collection.

This collection consists of thirty-four photographs collected by Wiggins in the course of his research on the history of country music. Images of numerous country music individuals and groups, as well as images of handbills and news clippings relating to John Carson and other country music figures are included. All photographs are copies made from Wiggins' originals.

Gene Wiggins was the author of several articles and books on country music, most notably Fiddlin' Georgia Crazy (Urbana and Chicago: University of Illinois Press, 1987), a study of the life and music of "Fiddlin'" John Carson.
